nation
Agriculture is renewed focus for a developing country. It is heartening to learn that agriculture is to be given priority in the 11th five Year Plan. According to a majority of international fiscal experts, only that nation which is strong agriculturally is also strong economically as well. If we aspire to become a developed nation, we must regain our historical economic status of a grain-exporting nation. The recent crop failure and the farmer’s indebtedness and their consequent suicides are the lively result of poor govt. polices corruption and criminal negligence in supplying electricity and water for irrigation. Now its turn for productive land accrue in West Bengal in name of industrialization, is how far justified in favor of poor farmers and our bread makers. Of course, we do need the industry to grow but certainly not at the cost of our fellow farmers. Do you not feel that there is a clear lack in policy making; the same is needed to be reviewed?
